Arthropods Gallery
Within the invertebrates, the arthropods are a huge biodiversity group, remarking the hexapoda one, in which insects are found. We have other non-insect groups, the chelicerates (spiders, scorpions, etc.), myriapods (mainly centipedes and millipedes) and crustaceans (crabs, brine shrimp, etc.). Arthropods are found in many biomes, and here are 20 of my favorite arthropods photographs. You can see some sipping nectar from flowers in the jungle of Thailand or on the Spanish plateau, one digging in the South African sand, some copulating in a Thai urban environment, perched dragonflies form Ecuador and Spain, one camouflaged as a leaf and one of the largest butterflies in the Costa Rican rainforest, a giant millipede from Thailand, crabs from Ecuador (Galápagos) rocks and Costa Rica's sands, a family of cotton bugs in a Gambian forest of an island, a wide and colorful spider from Costa Rica and even an ambipligian! (rare animal similar to the creature that appears in the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie) from a Costa Rica's rainforest.
